FAQs

  • Yes. We have a history of providing estate planning legal services to residents of different states. AEPL and Paul Rabalais has built a team that consists of a national network of estate attorneys who, at no additional expense to the client, work with AEPL to ensure state-specific compliance of your estate planning legal documents. This allows AEPL to help Americans across the nation to benefit from our process of personalized estate planning.

  • Feel free to request a free estate planning design meeting if you had a loved one pass away and probate legal services are required. While AEPL attorneys can provide all necessary probate (also known as “Succession” legal services if the deceased was a Louisiana resident, AEPL can refer you to one of our network attorneys in any other state where the deceased resided.

  • AEPL absorbs the legal expense of this initial zoom meeting where you can explain what you are attempting to accomplish and we can propose the easiest solution to accomplish your objectives. In order to save your time and ours, AEPL asks that you first complete our questionnaire to request this initial video meeting. An AEPL attorney will review your questionnaire and, if appropriate, email you a link to a calendar so that you can schedule your initial zoom meeting at your convenince.

  • If you create your estate plan through AEPL and you need to amend your plan at a later date, simply request a new estate plan design meeting and AEPL can provide the necessary services to update your estate plan at our reasonable hourly rates.

  • Once you become a client of AEPL, AEPL will supply you with a complimentary online and secure digital vault portal where you can enter your family and asset information. In addition, your signed estate planning documents can be uploaded to your online digital vault. Only you and AEPL will have access to this information. Clients tell AEPL that their secure digital vault is a great way for clients to maintain an accurate list of assets and other important estate information. This helps your survivors simplify the estate settlement process since they can feel secure knowing all relevant estate information is available at the click of a button.

  • We are big believers in time management. Unscheduled phone calls eat away at employees’ time, interrupt their workflow, and causes the business to experience a mental cost in distractions and

stresses of uncompleted tasks. Scheduled video meetings and email, on the other hand, are far more flexible and thorough, and increase productivity.

While back and forth discussion is often necessary, scheduled zoom video calls avoid workflow interruption and give the participants visual cues that can help predict changes in conversation and gauge the interest level of the person you are talking to. With phone calls, you don’t have the advantage of non-verbal clues, which leads to awkward silences, interruptions, and speaking out of turn. While non-verbal cues obviously aren’t communicated via email either, they’re not nearly as important because of their ‘turn-talking’ nature: with email, we can take our time to respond thoughtfully, knowing you can later do the same. No awkward silences, no interruptions.
